Hey you guyyyyyyys Time for some real talk! Ready? Hope so. I was texting with one of my industry friends "M" yesterday about an upcoming con, and he said that a fan had told him that they had contacted me about getting "M" back as a guest, but I'm unreliable. I was really hurt that someone said that for a few reasons. 1. I AM NOT A CONVENTION STAFFER. I am in no way paid by conventions. Contacting me to get help with a guest, or anything for that matter, will not help. The best thing you can do, and there's info about this all over the internet, is to tell the con YOURSELF. As a paying attendee, you have more sway than me. 2. It's insanely difficult for me to filter through the dozens and dozens of spammy, pointless, bot, and other messages I get every day. This is why I don't even check DMs half the time except for my business email- and why you shouldn't get offended when your faves don't reply to your "hi how are you" messages. 3. I have a full time job and persistent depressive disorder. Functioning is hard enough and I do still struggle to make ends meet. Expecting me to dedicate my free time to working for cons/you for free is a little unfair. You know what I and other cosplayers do offer? A safe space and a friendly face at cons A fellow nerd to geek out with about all things fandom Information and help whenever we can on your cosplays Entertainment value And a lot more! I enjoy what I do, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it after over ten years. But keep your standards realistic, okay? I'm only one girl with a lot on her plate. Love you. Mean it. I'm glad you're here.

Okay, you knew that. I know, whatever. But I just kinda was thinking about my name. Weird, I know, right? So yesterday Mom and I found my old Princess Leia ornament for the tree. SO rockin. What I wish I could say at work

First world problem, I know. At least I have a job, at least I'm not car-less and completely broke. I even have a job doing nerdy things at a fun place and get free drinks all day. But dear God sometimes I want to punch a baby. We already have rules posted at the shop- nothing specific enough to make people stop acting like ill-bred children or d-bags, but rules nonetheless. The ownerbossman made them though, and he's not always there to see what the issues really are, and what the regulars already know and are good about. So basically what we have isn't doing jack. It's also mostly in regards to treating other customers, not about the employees, which is a little... odd... and sucks for me. Granted, I know why a lot of the things we want to say can't be said- there's no way to put a lot of this delicately and we don't want to lose any customers. But I want to say it anyway. Update, Patreon, and Getting it Together

Hi friends! Thanks for coming and peeking over here, I know facebook is a lot easier to check in on but we all know how FB feels about long posts, keywords, and basically anything other than not taking my money, hahaha/sad Anyway, let's just jump into it- my announcement for today is I'm beginning a Patreon account. My emotions on Patreon are pretty conflicted a lot of times, I have to be honest, and I'm sure you can understand what I mean if you've been online and seen all the backlash that some people get from starting Patreons. I've always been afraid that my work wasn't good enough, consistent enough, or popular enough to warrant anything like this. But then my personal (financial and time restraint)  circumstances changed, and my options were: 1. Stop cosplay nearly entirely, disappoint you and myself, and lose something that brings me and many other people a spark of joy.  or 2.
