Please forgive the echo chamber that is my social media right now, but I feel like the best way to get this open and out there is to keep my message consistent. Plus, I did work hard on the wording of this, so why fix what's not broken?

here is the TLDNR of my situation, my project, and how to can has help!

I had a prospective job that didn't work out, though it did seem finalized to me. No hard feelings to the prospective employer. I ordered the tail for this job specifically, but since it didn't pan out, I'm now in personal debt with no way to pay off this expense. 

SO to help me recoup this massive cost, I'm a mermaid for hire! All rewards are geared towards mermaiding, but feel free to replace "mermaid" with "cosplay" or "princess" in any reward tier. This does definitely include the charity sponsorship tier! 
Note: the full cost of the tail + shipping + the accouterments was actually about $3000, but I put my funding as flexible so I can make it a little easier! Any amount helps make my student loan payments not late. 
If you have any questions in general, about rewards, or whatever, get in touch! I appreciate your help SO much in this really odd kinda crappy situation.

The tail is already done and here and this IS the challenge! If I don't get funded, I keep working and stay in debt longer.

So there's my Indiegogo spiel. I finally did it. 
I have mixed emotions but I feel like this will be good for me, especially since I don't want just handouts when I can easily offer work and products. I've been trying SO HARD to get more work to pay this off, but it's just not feasible right now. I'm going to keep going and trying to make this business by myself work for sure!

What I wish I could say at work

First world problem, I know. At least I have a job, at least I'm not car-less and completely broke. I even have a job doing nerdy things at a fun place and get free drinks all day. But dear God sometimes I want to punch a baby. We already have rules posted at the shop- nothing specific enough to make people stop acting like ill-bred children or d-bags, but rules nonetheless. The ownerbossman made them though, and he's not always there to see what the issues really are, and what the regulars already know and are good about. So basically what we have isn't doing jack. It's also mostly in regards to treating other customers, not about the employees, which is a little... odd... and sucks for me. Zelda symphony and my childhood

Some people are so ridiculously awesome, it burns. So I've known this local radio host/dj for years- he's a great guy and fellow nerd, and its hard not to meet him in a town like this. Anyway, I hear from him this morning and long story short, my best friend and I are going to the Legend of Zelda Symphony Orchestra on Friday night. I. Am. Freaking. Not only have I wanted to go since I heard it was a thing, but two tickets for free is the greatest present I've received ever- boogerpony and my engagement ring aside. Madi (bestfriend of ever) and I bonded over zelda when we were kids. And now, but you get my point. I might go so far as to say we might not be as close as we are now if it weren't for this game series. We stayed up past our fourth grade bedtimes, developed crushes on characters, cried at the sad parts and laughed uproariously at the funny, and yeah- we developed better critical thinking, problem solving, memory, and hand eye coordination.
